Glow Winter Arts Festival 2016 FAQs 

FESTIVAL DATES: 11 August – 21 August 2016

The Glow Winter Arts Festival embraces the strong artistic communities of Stonnington.

The festival will involve 5 core events – Flicks ‘n’ Feasts, Glow Comedy Club, Arts Burst, Particle Bloom and Greville Projections.

The festival also involves community events and the Glow Creators Market.

PARKING AND TRANSPORT

  • Glow takes place across various venues in Stonnington, there is limited free street parking and paid parking available.
  • We encourage festival goers to use public transport, plan your journey with PTV Journey Planner .

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Visitors are encouraged to take photos and share on social media. To see posts shared on social media use the #glowfest2016 hashtags.

TICKETS

  • Tickets are available online through Moshtix – http://www.moshtix.com.au
  • Tickets will also be available on the door, unless sold out prior.
  • Tickets are not exchangeable or refundable except in certain circumstances where required by law as stated in the Terms and Conditions of purchase.
  • Moshtix cannot offer you a refund if you can no longer attend an event, however you may give your tickets to another person to use. Please see the re-issue section on the moshtix FAQ’s website for more information.

PARTICLE BLOOM

TICKETS

  • Tickets are available online through Moshtix.
  • Tickets will be available at the door unless sold out prior.

HEALTH WARNINGS

Does this feature strobe lighting?

  • No, this event does not contain strobe lighting, however it does feature 3D moving imagery.

Are there any issues with Particle Bloom for people who have epilepsy?

  • Yes, there is flashing content that might affect people with epilepsy or if you are prone to seizures or light sensitivity.
  • City of Stonnington takes no responsibility if ticket holders experience seizures during Particle Bloom.

I wear glasses, can I still experience Particle Bloom?

  • Yes, 3D glasses can be worn over normal glasses.

SEATING

Is seating allocated?

  • No, it is a first-in, first-serve basis – please also note: seating will be bean bags and there will be very limited bench seating available.

DURATION

How long does each session run for?

  • Each session is in 30min blocks, note: attendees must vacate the building at the end of each session as this is a ticketed event, it is important that we track numbers for safety reasons.

FLICKS N FEASTS

WEATHER

  • We will continue to play the film in drizzle but if showers become heavier we will stop the film and resume if showers clear.
  • Any cancellations will be posted on the What’s On Stonnington Facebook page.

BLANKETS

  • Blankets will be available for purchase on the night (subject to availability).

ALCOHOL

  • There will be a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase within the Flicks n Feasts event site.
  • Alcohol will only be served to people 18 years and over, so please bring along ID.
  • Visitors cannot bring their own alcohol.

FOOD

FILM START TIMES

  • All films will start at 7pm however on Friday 12 August there is a double feature and the first film is scheduled to start at 7.00pm.

SEATING

  • There will be deck chairs available however seating is first in first served! Visitors cannot bring their own seating.

GLOW COMEDY CLUB

TICKETS

  • $35 + booking fee.
  • Tickets are available online through Moshtix.
  • Tickets will also be available on the door, unless sold out prior.

VENUE

  • Melbourne Bowling Club, 138 Union St, Windsor

DURATION

  • 8pm – 10pm

ALCOHOL

  • There will be a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchases at the venue.
  • Alcohol will only be served to people 18 years and over, so please bring along ID – Valid Driver’s Licence / Passport / Proof of Age card.
  • Visitors cannot bring their own alcohol.

FOOD

  • A range of snacks will be available for purchase, we recommend comedy lovers head to one of the many dining options close by.

PARKING

  • There is limited parking available on-site.
